The Robing Room
The beautifully ornate Robing Room is a versatile space, which is often used for intimate dinners or a luxurious cloakroom.
The History
This was previously a Billiard Room for Frederick English designed in the early 1900’s. At the south end of the room is another Norman Shaw fireplace. It’s equally as wide as the chimney breast in the Great Hall, but lower and less ornate. The fireplace is marble and has a stone chimney breast and a carved stone inglenook. The ceiling is enriched with moldings and has an unusual angular coving.
